NOELENE LUCAS

29 April - 3 July 2022

Central to Noelene Lucas’ work is her investigations of the land from both environmental and historical perspectives. Land, birds and water quality in light of climate change are key to the environmental research. Entanglement seeks to highlight these issues and at the same time indicate our involvement in this crisis. Entanglement also points to where hope resides; in contact with life beyond the human, in seeing and valuing and not being indifferent to the plight of life on this damaged planet. At the base of all her video work is the exploration of time, ephemerality and absence.
