Using the mediums of painting, drawing and textiles, she makes works that explore the social role and value of objects. She does this by engaging with ideas of identity, cultural heritage and the role of domestic objects as conduits to understanding how we belong and connect to the past and the present. She is inspired by still life painting traditions, in particular the 17th century Dutch sub-genres pronkstilleven and vanitas painting; and knowledge systems such as taxonomies, encyclopaedias and collections.
