Proposal guidelines

CCAS Gorman Arts Centre

Exhibitions at CCAS Gorman Arts Centre are by invite, however, expressions of interest are welcomed from artists who would like to be considered.

Expressions of interest should include: Name of the artist/s, contact details, a brief artist statement, a CV and 5 - 10 clear digital images of completed works.

In the event that CCAS is interested in exhibiting your work, you will be contacted and asked to make a detailed submission for the proposed exhibition.


CCAS Manuka

Exhibition proposals are currently being accepted for the 2020 CCAS Manuka program, and must be received by 5pm Wednesday 31st October 2019.

Please include 5 - 10 high-quality images, a CV and a one-page proposal that explains clearly what you intend to do in the space. Please also indicate your preferred exhibition dates in the application so that we can try to accommodate your preference.

CCAS Manuka rental is $880 gst inclusive for two weeks. Installation, lighting, sales and sitting the exhibition are the responsibility of the artist. The gallery is open Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm. There is currently no commission on sales.

CCAS Manuka has track lighting, tea and coffee making facilities, some installation tools and paint are provided, toilet facilities, heater and fan, and a front desk. CCAS will also provide assistance with promoting the exhibition.

This space is ideal for experimental work and small group shows. Preference is given to artists who have a strong record of involvement in Canberra's visual arts community and on the excellence of the work.
