Martin James

2013

Drawing attention to and questioning images from advertising and mass media is the focus of Martin James’ work. Martin engages in the world of spin, manufactured images of people, products and organisations and their mission to sell either a product or political idea. Current Australian political debate and Australian iconographical images form the basis of Martin’s work, which incorporates screen-printing and etching in addition to sculpture and installation.
