GERALD JONES

New Work

7 - 16 June 2024, CCAS Manuka

Exhibition Opening 6pm Thursday 6 June 2024

Kamberri/Canberra-based artist Gerald Jones weaves still life with objects, figures, and mythology to delve into the depths of identity and self-expression within the LGBTIQA+ community, inviting viewers on a journey through the interplay of queer identity. The use of mythological symbols in the contemporary queer narrative challenges societal norms and fosters connection, celebrating uniqueness and contributing to a world where every identity is cherished as part of our shared human story.
