DIEDRE PEARCE
(2015)

Dierdre Pearce_D0A0891.jpg

Diedre Pearce works with drawing, photography, sculpture and installation. She is interested in how we interact with the physical, social and psychological spaces we inhabit; in how we map the boundaries between our interior and exterior worlds. Because Pearce explores ways of creating meaning, her work often refers to objects which can operate as symbols, to patterns and their interpretation, and to the body and the way it collects information through the senses. Pearce is fascinated by the way the web is increasingly part of ourselves and our environment. She has been exploring the possibilities of this different sense of self and space as it applies to my self, and to the relationship between the work she make and the spaces in which it is exhibited and viewed by audiences.
