RUBY GREEN
(2012)

Ruby Green is a painter, but she also uses textiles and ceramics in her practice. Her art examines “the woman in an imagined landscape, walking and venturing into and around it, absorbing it through her sensorial body.” These works are autobiographical, inspired by her own experience from her antipodean, rural, female point of view.

During her residency at CCAS, Ruby hopes to make a series of watercolour paintings on stretched paper as well as extending her practice towards three-dimensional forms that relate back to her paintings.
