Finding Ghosts takes the documentation of three augmented reality walks conducted in Dunedin, Auckland and Copenhagen and presents them in a gallery context. Each of these walks explored images of the past by using the Augmented Reality tool Aurasma to reveal historic images from the specific locations. The earlier works were titled Walks of Absent Memory, Finding the Ghosts of K Road and Walking Backwards into the Future. These walk works continue Benson’s focus on place, identity and ongoing interest in layered geographical narratives.
