bad vibrations
26 May - 4 June 2023, CCAS Manuka
The exhibition will contain a series of material experiments that explore the complexity of perception. Referencing the formal systems of nets and grids as a structural device, these objects materialise relationships between light, matter, space and perception. Through sculptures and works on paper that reflect, trap and absorb light in different ways, the works propose a kind of quasi-object that activates the surrounding space. Air becomes a metaphor for mass and void, a model to consider the unstable nature of space and our perception of it.
