Danny Wild’s practice encompasses elements of audio, video and film into installation, expanded cinema and performance. Everyday experiences such as routine, holidays or shopping at the local mall generate content for a new media context. Danny often re-appropriates and experiments with analog and digital technologies to re-contextualize their uses in contemporary art and society.
Danny has curated and taken part in a number of exhibitions and events nationally in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. He is a recent graduate of the ANU School of Art through the Photography and Media Arts department. Danny is founding member of art collective Zonk Vision and under the pseudonym Calico Cat, he performs electronic music and independently runs a specialty cassette label (Moontown Tapes).
