JACOB POTTER

Jacob Potter’s work is studio based and he explores the possibilities of paint and found three dimensional objects. Potter works with ephemeral sculptures that are constructed with found objects that he accumulates in his studio. The sculptures are a starting point to paintings which combine throwaway materials such as wrapping, cardboard boxes and containers. These materials are reorganised into arrangements that explore complex new spaces emerging from the transformation of disposable objects into works that question conventional definitions of painting of painting and sculpture.
