DEAN BUTTERS

In 2010 Dean Butters reproduced moments from Hollywood films (Hollywood Film Stills # 1-6) building sets and recreating complex lighting set-ups as a way of exploring notions of self and representation. During his residency he intends revisit previous studies concerning the exploitative nature of relationships between photographer and model by looking at the arts community as a site of interactivity, including a broad yet random sample of people in his work.
