HIT PRINT!

Local screen printer Alison Alder collaborated with eight artists and Hands On Studio staff in 2022 to develop a series of text-based banners, culminating in HIT PRINT!, a collaboration that provided the artists with an opportunity to reflect on ways the pandemic has impacted their lives. The collaborative exploration prompted the artists to generate a series of prints based on their individual experiences with a collective overall outcome. The works created were digitally enlarged and printed onto four banners and originally hung from sites in the parliamentary triangle, and now are on show at CCAS Manuka as part of a special pop up exhibition. The project was supported by Canberra Art Biennial City Commissions and the ACT Government.
