HANNAH BATH
(2012)

Hannah Bath is an artist who is interested in visual communication. She wants “to connect with others beyond words,” and aims to do so by looking at “the ways in which humans prescribe meaning onto events, memories and places.” Drawing inspiration from familiar objects such as family photographs, childhood mementos, and childhood drawings, she recreates them. Hannah is especially interested in the new presence drawing can give to a photograph or object and what role “the process of selection and invention takes in making these works.”

During her residency she wants to experiment with drawings that assert themselves in space as well as exploring scale and new subject matter.
